The BLYC hosts an annual Boat Parade on the Saturday closest to the 4th of July, in the afternoon before the fireworks display. Each year has a theme, and boaters from all around their lake deck out their boats and their passengers to participate in this fun event. A Grand Marshal is named each year to be the ceremonial head of the parade festivities, and boats are judged by a panel and trophies are awarded.
In 2024, 16 boats participated in the parade with a theme of “Favorite Movie.” First place was awarded to the Riley Family, whose boat was decorated as Willy Wonka. The Ball family had an eye-catching boat on the water with a Toy Story, and was awarded 2nd place.
